The SmartUp Project

Smart Up is Sviluppumbria S.p.A.’s Internet-based Regional Marketing tool for facilitating the initial contact between Sviluppumbria, which acts as a “One Stop Shop,” and possible outside investors interested in making investments in Umbria.

This tool makes available all the “basic level” information on localized packages, including data on the what the region has to offer, on new products and new business areas with potential for development, on the region’s utilities and infrastructures, on the region’s markets, products and potentialities in terms of employment and training, on settlement areas, and on accessible financing.

After the initial contact stage and the collecting of data concerning the project, Sviluppumbria S.p.A. is able to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with a personalized Information File that contains all the information that is necessary and useful toward developing the business idea in harmony with the region and its characterizations.

Sviluppumbria S.p.A. carries out Regional Marketing by putting together and promoting localized packages, offering free consultation services to all outside entrepreneurs and business owners interested in locating in the region. Regional productions, skills and resources, quality niche producers, an integrated planning strategy, rapid administrative procedures, new industrial areas, a developed economic and productive fabric, quality of life and safety, concessional financing: these are Umbria’s strengths.

A company interested in locating in this region will thus find significant opportunities for integrating and synergies with a dynamic business structure characterized by: strong traditional industries (chemical, steel and special materials, composites, and ceramics), innovative sectors with high growth potential (fuel cells, nanotechnologies, titanium and titanium alloys, biodegradable plastics, electronics, automotive… ), and sectors traditionally connected with agriculture and with the region’s cultural heritage, with new and significant opportunities for development.
